Who We Are

Located in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley along the I-81 corridor, Shenandoah County Public Schools has over 1,000 teaching and support staff who serve more than 5,600 students (PK-12) in ten schools: three elementary, three middle, three high, and one career and technical school.

Shenandoah County Public Schools also hosts the Massanutten Regional Governor’s School, which serves students from Shenandoah, Page, and Rockingham Counties and the City of Harrisonburg.

    SCPS RFP Central High School Press Box Construction

    Shenandoah County Public Schools (SCPS) is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide construction services for the demolition, removal, and construction of a new two-story press box at Central High School, located in Woodstock, Virginia. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the site on April 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time.

    Edulog Parent Portal App Info for Bus Riders

    The Edulog Parent Portal app is free to parents, caregivers, and students. It will show you what time the bus will be at your stop and the current GPS location of the bus.     School Safety Alert Messaging

    Shenandoah County Public Schools takes the safety of our students and staff very seriously. In the event of an incident involving school safety, there are protocols in place to protect everyone on our campuses.     Cell Phone Free Education

    Following approval of a new policy by the Shenandoah County School Board, SCPS schools began instituting a bell-to-bell policy that requires all students to put away their cell phones and personal electronic communication devices, including airpods and smart watches, for the entirety of the school day. Triplett Tech's Career Fair in Action on Tuesday was a BIG success! Over the course of a few hours, business and community leaders had the opportunity to observe and talk to students while they worked in their program areas before sitting down to interview them one-on-one. The final overall numbers were:

- More than 60 interviewers

- More than 50 businesses represented

- More than 250 interviews conducted with current Triplett Tech seniors

Our Triplett Tech Criminal Justice class recently had an incredible experience learning from VSP K9 handler Trooper Waybright and K9 Mako, along with SCSO K9 handler Investigator Shane Bollinger and K9 Roscoe. They shared valuable lessons on their duties and responsibilities and gave impressive demonstrations that gave our students a real look into K9 operations in law enforcement.

Eight of our Strasburg FFA & Ag members attended the Horizon Leadership Conference at the WE Skelton 4-H Center. While there, they developed their leadership skills by learning to explore leadership as everyday behavior, use communication and professionalism with others, see empathy, curiosity and respect as leadership strengths, view setbacks as growth, and connect leadership behaviors to future goals. They also networked with other FFA members from across the state and had a lot of fun!
